The short version

You own everything. Your manuscript, your voice profile, your research. Export anytime. We never train on your work. Your book should never be shaped by the business model of the tool that helped you write it.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (hashed). If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from those services.

Content You Upload

You may upload blog posts, newsletter archives, transcripts, research notes, and other writing samples. This content is used solely to analyze your voice and generate your manuscript.

Payment Information

Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or full payment details. We receive a transaction ID and payment status from Stripe.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage data such as pages visited, features used, and session duration to improve the Service. We do not sell this data to third parties.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the Service: voice analysis, content structuring, drafting, and review.
  • To process payments and manage your account.
  • To communicate with you about your projects and account.
  • To improve the Service based on aggregate usage patterns.

3. What We Never Do

  • We never use your content to train AI models.
  • We never sell your personal data or content to third parties.
  • We never share your manuscripts or source materials with other users.
  • We never claim ownership or licensing rights over your work.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption at rest and in transit. Access is restricted to authorized personnel only. We conduct regular security reviews and maintain strict access controls.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your content remains in your account as long as you maintain it. Deleted projects are moved to trash and can be recovered within 30 days. After 30 days, they are permanently deleted. If you close your account, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.

6. Data Export

You can export your manuscripts, voice profiles, and project data at any time in multiple formats (Markdown, Word, PDF, EPUB). This right is unconditional — you do not need to maintain a paid account to export your existing work.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Stripe — Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
  • Google/GitHub OAuth — Optional sign-in. We only receive basic profile information.
  • AI Language Models — Content processing. Your content is sent to AI providers for processing only and is not retained by them for training.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access all data we hold about you.
  • Export your content at any time.
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Opt out of non-essential communications.
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
